My Bucket List!

Hello friends!

I have been reading some bucketlists recently, and it's really inspired me to do my own. I have always been meaning to make one but I have never actually got round to doing it, but now I have been looking at some I have really wanted to do one. So I thought as a new segment to my blog, every so often I could add something whacky (or maybe not so whacky) to my bucketlist. Every time I complete one thing, big or small, I'll write a little post about how it went etc...

So what's my first thing on my bucketlist. It's a very, VERY optimistic thing to aim to do, but I think it would be so cool.

I think anyone would agree with me that meeting Johnny Depp would be THE coolest thing ever. Anyone who knows me could tell you how much I go on about Johnny Depp. He is, in my eyes, the most amazing man on this planet and god do I love him. Now, I know that it's such a big thing to start with, and the likelihood is that this will never happen, but let's stay positive. Go big or go home! Plus, I'm not too bad at meeting celebrities, so it's not completely out of question... I hope. If the day ever comes, it will most definitely, without a doubt, be one of the best days of my life.

As this is my first post of my bucketlist, I'm going to add two things!

This is something that I think would be so cool - climbing a mountain. I think it would better to fly out to somewhere different to the UK, so that would be ideal, but if I end up climbing Mount Snowdon then so be it - it's still a mountain. Getting to the top would be such an achievement! One day!

Well, that concludes my bucket list post for today! Hope you enjoyed reading, and I hope you're as excited as I am to see what I put on my list! I'm looking up things as I go, so I don't actually have many more ideas after these two... oops! Ah well! Until next time...

Baking!

Hello friends!

Well, I've had a very boring start to the summer holidays! I have done next to nothing in the last week, other than finally finishing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It's taken me ages to finish the book, but I finally did it. I watched the film only minutes after closing the book and I was impressed with that as well. However, the third film still stands as my favourite. I haven't seen the last three though! I also went bowling yesterday with one of my school friends, my brother and my sister. I managed to score one strike in two games, pro-bowler right here! I never realised how bad I actually was...

So today I went down to my Nan's to do some baking. I cheated a little bit, as in I bought packet stuff and I just had to add a few little things. I made a vanilla cheesecake with strawberry and chocolate on the top, it turned out really nice actually. However, I used the wrong tin size, therefore it was really thin... It still tasted delicious!

finished!

I didn't get a picture of it out of the tin, but it was only like 1cm thick! I think with a tin this size I should probably use two mixes. Or just get a smaller tin!

The brownies came out really well! Last time I used one of these mix things it didn't work at all, I'm not sure what I did wrong. However this time they are delicious. They're perfectly gooey in the middle and crispy on the outside. We also added cherries.. mmm!

tasty!
I'm no expert, but the mixes were actually really good, and really cheap. I'd recommend them to anyone who likes to bake occasionally, or needs them for a party or for friends or something. Really impressed, especially with the brownies!

Other than baking, I took a few pictures of my nan's new puppy. Well, I say 'new', nan has had her for a good few months now. Her name is Pippa, and she's the cutest little lady I've ever seen! Here she is!

Just after a little groom!

Pippa selfies!

I think she wanted my chocolate...

That was a bit of a jumbled up post, one minute I was talking about Harry Potter, then baking, then dogs! Ah well, that's just my last week summed up in one post! Hope you enjoyed reading!

What's your favourite thing to bake?

Losing Weight...

Howdy friends!

Now, it's been a while since I've been frequent with my posting, but it's summer now meaning I have all the time in the world to find things to blog about! YIPEE! I have a long list of things I can blog about over the summer, so expect more posts from now on. Another thing, other than time, that's been preventing me from blogging is that I have another blog for my media coursework for my A-Levels, and I've been focusing on doing that more. Therefore, I write a post on there then get to writing one on here and I can't think of how to start anything. But now I have a long break with hardly any work to do on there, so I can work on this blog more! YAY!

So, from the title you can tell what this is about. I have been trying to lose weight for such a long time, and any time I try I give up after a couple of days. I just like food way too much! However, I was searching through the App Store on my iPhone and came across one of the best apps I have ever seen. I have tried weight loss apps before and they have been useless as all they tell me is how to do exercises I don't have the time to do. However, this one is brilliant. It's called 'myfitnesspal', and basically all you do is say how much weight you want to lose, how much you weigh now, and you input what you eat and it tells you how many calories you should be eating a day/how many calories you have left to get to your desired weight. I have such a good feeling about this diet this time, really hoping I can lose some weight!

It has such a wide range of foods listed, and if the food you've had isn't on there you can add it yourself. It also has a lot of exercises from 'mowing the lawn' to a full on run. I have been going cycling, and even 25 minutes of that burns quite a lot of calories. I tend to go in the morning/evening when it's not too hot, if I was to go when it's its hottest I think I'd die on the spot from heat exhaustion.

So yeah, I really do recommend this app for those trying to loose weight. It takes no time at all the fill in your calories, and it tracks your progress over time. Plus, it's free!

Graduation!

Hey there friends!

What a long while it's been since I last wrote a blog post! I don't even have the excuse that I have had loads of school work, because I haven't had that much! I just haven't got around to writing anything... sorry!

So what have I been doing since my last post? I went all the way to Dale in South Wales for a Biology Field Trip. 'Biology Field Trip' makes it sound so boring, and I thought it was going to be horrible but I actually had so much fun! The weather was brilliant all week, and the place we stayed was gorgeous. I learned all about snails and other crustaceans that live down there and I ended up doing my whole coursework investigation on beadlet anemones. I now know more about beadlet anemones than I know about Biology itself! Here's a few snaps I took!

Back onto what the post is about, GRADUATION! No, not mine, my sisters! She's graduating from university on Friday, so I thought I'd use this opportunity to buy some more clothes! I have been looking out for something for a long while now, and I have had my eye on a few dresses. But when I went to town on Saturday, I went in a completely different direction with what I wanted to buy! I went into New Look (as you may know by now New Look is the only place I shop for clothes), and had a good look around. In the end, I went for a pink maxi skirt, a lacy, cream top and some accessories to go with it!

Excuse the quality of the photos, the lighting is rubbish in my bedroom! Putting that aside, I love this outfit. I didn't think I was going to suit a maxi skirt, but as soon as I tried it on I fell in love with it. The pink one wasn't my first choice, there was two blue ones that I wanted - a turquoisey-blue and a dark blue, but they didn't have my size *sad face*. However, the pink one still looks really nice. Plus it was only £14.99 - bargain! When I picked the top up, I was a bit doubtful about what it would look like on me, seeing as it's a crop top - I don't want all my flabby bits on show! However, with the maxi skirt you don't see any flabby bits, and the colours go so nicely together! The top came in at £12.99, another bargain (this is why I love New Look). The shoes I already had in the wardrobe, from a christmas meal I bought them for. They're also from New Look, but I'm not sure how much they were... The jewelry is quite simple (it doesn't look it, but it is). The spikey necklace is something I've wanted for ages, and I thought that it would look nice with the skirt and top so I went ahead and bought it, AND the matching earrings - I regret nothing!

Well there you go! I can't wait to go down to Aberystwyth and have a short little holiday away from school and stuff, exciting! I better go and finish me some Biology Coursework! Thankyou for reading, and let me know what you think, or whether you've got something nice and exciting coming up soon! Until next time...

Wishlist!

Hello friends!

So, what have I been up to recently? Not blogging is what I've been doing! I have all these plans for posts, but I haven't actually go around to doing them yet! Oops! Another thing I have been doing is preparing for an A-Level Biology field trip, which I am going on next week. We looked at the website today, and there is often paranormal activity investigations that take place where we're staying, which really terrifies me. I might end up having my duvet pulled off me half way through the night, or the bedroom door unlocking but who cares because I'm going to be doing Biology for five days straight! (Sense the sarcasm).

Now on to today's post. I opened up my wardrobe the other day, and it hit me how little nice clothes I have. I mean, I do have a lot of clothes, just none of it is really very nice. I picked up a couple of items the other day when I was in town, either from 'H! By Henry Holland' (Debenhams) or New Look!

I love all of the things I bought. The denim/floral print shirt has my name all over it, and when I tried it on I fell in love with it, and for only £15, I think it was quite a bargain! The gopher top is just so cute, and it's also really baggy so it goes so well with the skater skirt I bought. The creepers I bought aren't the same as the ones in the picture - mine have spikes on, but I couldn't find them on the website. They're so comfortable to wear, and I thought they would look really stupid on me, but I've grown to love them. The skater skirt is a weird, waffle texture, but it fits so nicely. I have been meaning to get a skater skirt for such a long time, and now I finally have one!

Now onto the things I wished I had. This is from both Debenhams and New Look, as those are the two places I had a good look round!

I have had my eye on the dress for such a long time, and every time I go into debenhams I have to go the the H! By Henry Holland section and admire it some more. It has a really pretty collar on it, and I am a sucker for collars! The playsuit is so pretty as well, as it has lace around the pockets. Lace and denim go so nicely together. The skirt is also amazing! It has little white polkadots on, and I love how the model is wearing it with the black converse!

If you have read any of my previous posts about clothes, and what clothes I want, you can probably tell that I love New Look! I think that all the clothes is just so nice, and it's all reasonably good prices as well! Personally, I'm not one of those people that get all their clothes from Hollister or Jack Wills, because I think everything there is ridiculously overpriced! The crop top I chose is so pretty, and I think it would go so well with the skater skirt I already have! Plus, it's under £10 - BARGAIN! I picked up the skater skirt when I was shopping, and I was going to buy it instead of the black one, but because I wouldn't be allowed to wear the denim one to sixth form I bought the black one, but I do plan on buying this sometime in the near future. The shorts are another thing that I have been wanting to buy for ages, but I'm waiting until I lose a bit more weight, otherwise I'd look so silly! The oversized t-shirt has been on my wishlist ever since I saw the music video for 'How Ya Doin'' by Little Mix, because Jesy wore one and I think it looks so cool! Plus, I think it would be seriously comfortable! The wedges are a must for summer, I have never owned a pair of wedges, but I plan to get some for my sister's graduation to go with a nice dress (that I still haven't picked out....). Lastly, this bag (like the denim shirt I bought from Debenhams) has my name written all over it. I think it's so cute, and it's the perfect size for a handbag. The lacy bit on the pockets is so pretty, and I just love it! As you can tell, denim is a recurring theme for the things I have chosen! I just really love me some denim!

That's all my picks for today! Hopefully I accumulate enough money over the next few weeks for me to buy all/most of these things! I hope you enjoyed reading, and let me know what your favourite item is from what I've picked out!

Music Favourites!

Hello everyone!

Over the past year or so, since I started on twitter, I've started listening to a lot more artists that are unsigned/unknown. In this post I'm going to talk about those artists, and how you can find out more about them and listen to their music. I have already mentioned them in previous posts, but ah well! Let's go!

Sam Callahan

Sam is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Essex. He went to the Sylvia Theatre School in London and appeared in the West End as a child, but from the age of fourteen he started writing his own music. Personally, I love his own material more than I love the covers he does. He currently has one of his own songs on itunes ('Runaway Train') accompanied by two covers. Since the beginning of May he has been completing his Crazy Campaign leading up to the release of his new single 'Crazy'. I'm so impressed, as he's been able to raise over £1200 for Teenage Cancer Trust. I really feel like Sam deserves so much more recognition, because he works 24/7, and travels all over the country for it. As well as being really talented, he's so down to earth and nice to talk to. You can find Sam on:

The Parades

The Parades are a guitar-based British pop band, made up of Dan, James and Andy. Like Sam Callahan, they work 24/7 to make music, whether that's writing, recording or performing. They're so talented, and they make such good music. My all time favourite is Want You To Know, closely followed by All For You! I have only ever seen them live once, but I will be sure to go over and over again as they are so good live! I can't wait for them to get more recognition! I'm waiting for the day they release their music onto itunes for me to buy! You can find The Parades here:

I'm going to make these posts a more frequent thing, which explains why I have only picked two out of all of the unsigned/unknown artists I know of. Sam Callahan and The Parades are by far my two favourites, I could listen to their covers all day. They're all really nice people as well, which is always an added bonus. I really hope you do go and check them out, because they are worth a look at! Let me know what you think if you do! Thanks for reading!

Topshop Favourites

Hello friends!

Boy am I happy that all my exams are all over! I finished today, and I won't have any more for a whole year due to the fact that the government have scrapped January Modules. Not sure whether that's going to be an advantage or disadvantage on my part! Ah well, I'll get round it one way or another!

Now, as you can probably tell from the title, I've had a good old gander on the Topshop website, and I'll tell you for why! I went to town not too long ago and walked past Topshop and had a look at their window display, and I fell in love with so many things. So I thought that today I'd go onto the website and pick out a few outfits that I really love! Here we go!

OUTFIT 1

My favourite part of this by far is the dress. It's such a nice length, and the colour is gorgeous. When I was putting this together, I didn't thing it really went together that well, but then I found the ring and bag and I thought they went nicely with the nude colour on the shoes, and the green on the shoes went really nicely with the dress. I thought that it brought it together nicely!

OUTFIT 2

My favourite parts of this outfit are the skirt, the boots and the bag. Infact, I love all of it. The lacy black detail on the top looks so nice on the white, and I've always wanted a denim skater skirt. I am really considering buying the boots or the bag, or even both!

OUTFIT 3

This is my ultimate favourite outfit. It's so summery with the pastel yellow and purple and the daisy ring. Oh my, I just love it so much. The more I look at it the more I want to buy each item. I am definitely going to buy the daisy ring, because that has my name all over it! The yellow and purple look so good together, ah I cannot flaw this outfit at all!

And that concludes my post. I know it was short and sweet, and I was intending on it being a lot longer but my sister put Misfits on and I can no longer concentrate! It's taken me ages to right this post, which it shouldn't have done seeing as it was so short! Hope you enjoyed reading, and let me know whether you like posts like this because I could make it a more frequent thing? Just let me know!
